When Thorin spotted Kili making his way over to the table, he couldn't help the smile that appeared on his own face. It was just a natural reaction for him when he saw his own family. They had always been such a big part of his life, and he certainly didn't want that to change just because they were in a new place. It had taken a while for him to get settled in, but now that he was finally finding his way in Madison, he wanted to get back to doing things the right way. And for him that included spending time with his kin and letting them know that they were still important to him.
"It's wonderful to see you. Thank you for coming" he replied, as he waited for Kili to take his seat at the table. He was had already made arrangements for with the waiter to make sure that the tab would be brought to him. This was about reconnecting with a member of his kin, and so he wanted to be the one to do the treating.
At that moment the waiter made his way to the table, and Thorin looked over at Kili. He thought the younger dwarf might want to go ahead and order his drink, and then look over the menu. He certainly was good with waiting as well. After all, it would be rude to order before Kili was ready.
