Re: Reception: Dean & Lisa
Lisa was always going to be mom first. Raising Ben had instilled such an instinct in her. Plus, Lisa felt a little guilty burdening someone else with watching Charlie; they were here to enjoy the wedding too.
"I know, but, well, you know me, I'm always a mom first," she replied, giving Dean a sheepish smile. Though, she didn't protest when Dean called Jack over and asked him to watch Charlie. Jack happily agreed and Lisa passed over the control of the stroller to him. She'd check in on the baby in a bit. In the meantime, she would try and do as Dean asked. She would try and relax.
"I'll try." Lisa glanced around the room, happy to see everyone enjoying themselves. The dancefloor awaited and Dean was right; it was time for their first dance. They made their way over (once Dean had parted ways with the sliders) and he took her in his arms. Lisa settled her hands on his shoulders. His comment prompted a shake of her head and a small laugh.
"You're forgiven. Just as long as you promise to keep me vertical if I stumble in these heels."
