Lisa & Dean's Wedding

September 2nd | Musain | PG-13

The ceremony was simple, but beautiful and Lisa and Dean said their "I Dos" in front of all of their family and friends. Afterwards, the pair held their reception and left it open to everyone in town. There was plenty of good food, music, and dancing too. JOIN IN.

Sam was there as best man, and he had Chloe and DJ with him. He had a handy dandy flask tucked away in case Dean (or he) needed it. Chloe was probably in charge of the present bc Sam would have probably gotten them something tasteless, because he doesn’t know how to gift. Jack would have brought himself, and tried not to cry though he was so happy that he got to see and participate in this. He wouldn’t have thought to bring a gift, but he will definitely be making up for that later and get them something nice.

	A Winchester wedding. Not that Lucifer knew the boys back home, but they'd made life in Madison Valley...entertaining. Specifically, the eldest: Dean. Nina thought a good way to get used to this place would be by attending a wedding. She knew enough to bring a gift, although given she had no idea what the couple liked, she settled for a gift card to Target. The Grisha rather liked Target for fun finds and lots of selection in one place. Unlike Kaz and Jes, Nina didn't worry quite as much about what she wore except in matters of jobs.

Tonight, though, she'd dressed in a cute red dress that seemed weather and seasonal appropriate. Unlike with a job, though, Nina ensured she didn't show off a fair amount of cleavage.

She noticed Lucifer, not that she really knew Lucifer at all, but her guardian considered him a friend and he'd been Jes's guardian. "Hello Lucifer," she said with a smile.

	"Thank you." Nina knew how to dress back home and with a lot of fashion magazines, managed here. More or less. "Missed what, exactly?" Nina didn't lose her smile, but she did look slightly confused, unsure what exactly Lucifer meant, especially since weddings like this didn't exist for her back home. After much back and forth debate, Dean had decided to go with a suit over a tux. The main difference was a bowtie instead of a regular tie, and he couldn't find one he liked in blue, that didn't cost thousands of dollars. He finally went with a blue suit and black shoes. He had been a bundle of nerves for some stupid reason, but Sam had managed to talk him through it.

He stood at the end of the aisle, watching as everyone came down. The wedding party went down and then there was a bit of a delay with DJ and Charlie, but thankfully Chloe was there to sort it out and send them on their way. Then the music started to play and Dean took a deep breath, his gaze fixated on the end of the aisle, eager to see how beautiful Lisa looked.

Much like Dean, Lisa had been a bundle of nerves too. It was silly; this was Dean. The Dean she loved, who was the father of her child, and the man she trust with her life. Yet, she was nervous as she double-checked her makeup and finally clicked her way in heels towards the aisle.

The aisle. Lisa swallowed as the music filled her ears. There was a bit of a smile as both DJ and Charlie struggled in making their way down the aisle, but thankfully Chloe had them sorted in no time at all. She made a mental note to thank the other woman after the ceremony. Then it was only her and Dean and...the world kind of just faded away.

She was vaguely aware of her feet propelling her forward, of how handsome he looked in his suit, and the way his green eyes seemed to light up at the sight of her. Lisa felt tears prick the corners of her eyes and she quickly took a deep breath. No tears. Not yet. Not now.

It was both the shortest and longest walk of her life, but eventually, she made it to Dean and gave him a small smile.

"Hey," she whispered. "You look amazing." She wanted to say it before the officiant started the ceremony.

"Me?" Dean looked at her with tears in his eyes and he almost choked up. "You're the one who looks..." he cleared his throat and took her hand with a smile, lacing their fingers together. Dean turned to face forward with Lisa, never letting go of her hand. He was barely paying attention as the officiant began with the ceremony, sweat dripping down the back of his neck as he stood there.

When it was time for them to turn and face each other, Dean was so fixated on staring at her that he kept forgetting to speak and fucked up the words a few times. It was with great relief when he slipped the ring onto her finger finally.

Those tears spoke volumes. He didn't need to utter another word about it. He took her hand and laced their fingers together. Lisa squeezed his hand gently and returned his smile. The two stood their, fingers intertwined, and, much like Dean, Lisa found herself barely paying attention to the officiant. The weight of the moment was far too distracting.

Finally, they turned to face each other. Lisa found it all the more endearing when Dean fucked up the words a few times. She touched his face, reassuring him it was okay, that it didn't matter. As it was, Lisa almost forgot what she was going to say too. It was impossible to not when the nerves were so fierce.

Finally, Dean slipped the ring on her finger and she leaned forward, lips brushing his as those watching erupted into applause.

He took her hand in his and laced their fingers together before turning with her to walk down the aisle. "I've been dreaming about eating some of those finger food things I saw them putting out." Dean leaned in to whisper against her ear, giving her hand a squeeze. "There's going to be so much food. I think it might be the best thing about a wedding. Do you think they'll let us eat some before we take pictures?" He was only teasing, of course.

Alex and Adam were there, of course. It had been a very lovely ceremony, and Alex was glad to have been there for it. The day was very family oriented as well, and so she and Adam brought the girls. Katie, especially, was excited.

"I think Katie is having the best time," she said to Adam as she watched the little girl run off with some of the other kids.

She was holding Niki who was getting bigger by the minute it seemed.

"I think you're right," Adam agreed with a smile. It was always nice seeing Katie having fun, being a normal child, having a normal life. Or at least normal for a kid growing up in Madison Valley. He'd been there more than long enough to that life there wasn't normal by a lot of worlds' definitions.

He leaned in to kiss Alex lightly, affectionately, and ran a hand over Niki's hair as he pulled back. "God, this little one..."

	This was their normal, and Alex wouldn't want any other way. At least here, they could be a family. Both she and Adam had lives back home that weren't entirely conducive to that. She smiled as Adam kissed her. It was very sweet and made her happy. "I can't believe she's ours, sometimes," she said, referring to her baby girl. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Same," he agreed. "She's... just this amazing tiny person and I can't wait to see her grow up."

He remembered feeling the same way when Katie was little. Except he'd been so much younger, and so much more uncertain about parenting. He'd had reasons, though, he and Finch both. She'd brought her trauma to the table and he'd brought... well, more than just his trauma.

They'd worked through it, though, or at least some of it.

The ceremony was over and done, the ‘I do’s’ had been exchanged, but Sam still couldn’t believe that Dean was married. Not that that was a bad thing, not at all, it was a part of a life that Dean had once told Sam he knew he’d never have. The apple pie life, family, a wife, kids, settled down. And here Dean was living the life he had always said he wanted. It was the kind of peaceful Sam had never thought he’d ever feel.

He held Chloe close as they danced, his eyes wandering the crowd of faces eating and dancing around them. One day he and Chloe would have something like this. Maybe not as big, something small and intimate perhaps, but aside from a handful of people, Sam was leaving the guest list for their wedding up to Chloe, who looked absolutely stunning tonight. “You know,” he glanced down at his and his fiancée’s joined hands and at the ring she was wearing and grinned, “I had a lot of fun today. I thought Dean would be a lot more nervous than he was, it was shocking.”

It had been a beautiful ceremony and when Chloe wasn't keeping an eye on DJ and Charlie, her eyes were on Sam. It was nice to see him so happy, and soon it would be the two of them standing there at the altar. She leaned into her fiance with a smile, swaying to the music as they danced together. "You looked like you had a lot of fun. But...the night isn't over yet." Chloe reminded him with a twinkle in her eye.

"I'm glad your brother wasn't as nervous as you thought he would be. I'm sure that your presence helped make it better." She wondered if Sam would be nervous when the time came, but they likely weren't going to have anything too fancy, which always helped.

Sam grinned broadly at Chloe, and waggled his eyebrows sillily at her. “Oh yeah? Does that mean you have plans for me later?” Sam couldn’t help but be giddy at the thought, and it was a little obvious by the little added pep in his step. “I had a flask of whiskey in my coat,” he said, glad that he hadn’t had to help Dean calm his nerves with it. “I think I was nervous for both of us, and I was honestly more nervous about DJ chickening out and hiding than I was about Dean. He did good, like always.”

Speaking of DJ, he looked around the room for him, and was pleased to see that Jack was keeping him entertained with some story that required animated hand gestures while they sat in a corner. “We should set a date for our own wedding,” he said. “I mean, not right now, but we should start talking about it soon. He leaned down and gave her a quick peck on the lips. “Or we can just live in sin forever. I’m very okay with that.”

"I always have plans for you later, handsome." Chloe winked and urged Sam to pull her into a spin, twirling into his chest. "He almost didn't make it because Charlie started to fuss a little, but I managed to calm her down, thankfully." At the mention of discussing the wedding further, she nodded in agreement, and her hand casually dropped down to grab a handful of his ass.

"I guess it depends on if we want outdoors or indoors. Though, now that we're in outer space, I wonder what the weather is like in January...I always thought it would be fun to get married in the snow, but it would probably be just a tad cold."
