Nine liked to eat. A lot. It was only fair, of course, since he was a very athletic and active young man with clearly excess energy. And it had to come from somewhere. So to assuage his hunger, he'd made his way to the local bbq place. It was super crowded when he got there, it took them a few minutes to even see him (Him! Could you believe it?) before he was told that they were only doing carryout at the moment because they didn't have enough room for more customers.Well, damn. The weather was kind of crap outside and he didn't want to eat out there...but it didn't take Nine any time at all to come up with a plan on the go.
He winked at the hostess, and asked for a carryout menu. He looked over it for a moment, decided on the bbq chicken and pulled pork combo with mac and cheese and deviled egg potato salad. He sat to wait, and about ten minutes later his bag of food was given to him. He'd get a soda after he ate, because what he was about to do might make that a little messy.
Going back to the room they used for parties, but was clean now, he reversed gravity and walked silently up the wall until he was standing, upside. Then he made his way back more into the main dining area, because he wanted to watch the game that was playing. Everything he touched, directly or indirectly - would stay with his orientation on the wall - he held the bag, anything in it stayed with him.
It wasn't until he opened a container of BBQ sauce that he realized there was a problem. As he poured it onto the chicken, a little bit dripped off - which meant that there was now a blob of free bbq sauce dropping, almost certainly, on the man sitting just beneath it. He closed his eyes when it hit, but the sound wasn't any better.
"Well...shit," he said under his breath.
