Caroline was a perfectionist and a little bit of a control freak. Especially when it came to planning an event. However, she'd gotten a bit better about it over the years. She was willing to let others help out. Plus, she was starting to be okay with not everything being exactly as she had in mind.
"Great!" Caroline beamed at her daughter. She loved the idea of her girls being part of the wedding process. She appreciated their input and help. She gently squeezed her daughter's shoulder. "Hey, I'll be happy as long as I have you two there on my big day." It was what mattered the most to Caroline.
Fingers lightly stroked Josie's hair as she considered her daughter's response. It made sense. Potentially starting something with a new person was bound to elicit both happiness and apprehension. "Hey, it's okay to be both," she reassured Josie in a gentle voice. "If you weren't a little scared, I'd be surprised. You're starting something new and you don't knew where it will lead."
