Caroline smiled. She knew Josie would understand and Caroline fully intended to give the book a chance once she had some free time on her hands. "It's crazy. We have a little over a month to go," she replied. "But we'll make it in time." If there was one thing Caroline was good at, it was organizing parties. Everything would be ready for the wedding by the date.
"I know and I appreciate it. Maybe you can help me with setup the day before?" Lizzie was already helping Caroline with her dress and accessories, but Caroline could use help with setting up for the wedding and also with decorations in general. Stefan had been amazing, but she wanted both her daughters to be part of the big day too.
By this point, Caroline liked to think she knew her daughters well. She usually could pick up when something was bothering them or was on their minds. Obviously, Caroline would never push or pry. If Josie and Lizzie wanted to talk about it, they could and she would listen. She would rather wait and have them come to her when they were ready than potentially risk pushing them away by demanding to know what was going on in their lives.
When Josie said she met someone, Caroline looked pleased. "Oh, that's great, Josie," she replied gently. "How are you feeling about that?"
