The speed dating thing had gone great, well as great as can be expected when faced with five girls relatively the same age as him with varying degrees of emotional baggage. Luckily, Eddie hadn't been looking for someone like that, someone romantically. It had been a while since that stuff had even crossed his mind. He'd had too much going on: Corroded Coffin, the Hellfire Club, trying to graduate high school.. and then Chrissy Cunningham's death sent him down a rabbit hole of a whole heap of crazy, ending with his death.

Having the afternoon off from Watchtower, Eddie stepped into Crawdaddy Music. No, he wasn't interested in buying. He had Lita here with him in Madison, the Dome having seen fit to bestow her upon him at Christmastime.. But that doesn't mean he couldn't look around. So as long as whoever ran the joint wasn't in a 'no lookie-loos, just buy already' mood. Walking over to the guitar area, he glanced appreciatively at the hanging acoustics, but his attention was diverted towards the electric guitars propped up in their individual floor stands.

Kate was hanging out at the front counter, scribbling notes into a notebook while there were no customers in the store. As much as she loved this job, she was excited about the idea of opening a record store with Tandy, if they could figure out all the logistics. Finding a storefront and start up capital should be easy enough. The big concern she had was getting enough stock to start the store and hoping the dome would keep them stocked.

When she heard someone come in, Kate glanced up and watched the newcomer make his way over to the electric guitar display. Since he didn't seem to need immediate assistance, she finished writing her current thought before closing the notebook and walking over to join him. "Hi," she said. "Looking for anything in particular today?"

None of 'em were as glorious as Lita, but it was a hard act to follow. However, they were all pretty cool in their own rights.

The voice behind him had Eddie turning, hands raised on the defense, an excuse of 'I wasn't going to do anything' written all over his face. Initial reaction aside, Eddie visibly relaxed when she didn't go all postal on him. "Nope, just perusing the axes. Marveling at how hardly anything's changed for the most part in the last few decades."

	While Kate could actually be more threatening than she appeared, at the moment, she was relaxed and smiling because she liked people who appreciated good instruments. "What year was it for you?" Based on his hair, she'd guess the 80s. "You want to try one?" She didn't make that offer to just anyone. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"1986." It was going to be his year... Maybe in a way it had been? Not that he had anticipated the shitstorm that had hit Hawkins and the outcome... But he had absolutely no regrets how it ended, having got the low-down from Dustin.

"Really?" Eddie was surprised. "Usually at this point in conversations I'm getting kicked out.. Between you and me, I think it's the hair. But I'm really a big ole softie."
