“No, like most things in life, you’re stuck having no way to stop that type of shit from happening. Whether it’s the dome or something else that causes the loss of people, it sucks,” she said with a small shrug. “I’m still a newbie to this place so I haven’t had to go through it, but I know it’s only a matter of time.” Max wasn’t even sure how she’d handle it. Probably depending on who it was, but right now she couldn’t take losing anyone else even if it was only them being sent back to their world.
But since it sounded like something bad was waiting for her back home, Max was in no rush to go back or lose her friends from back home. “Were you two from the same world?”Max asked, blowing a piece of her red hair out of her face that had fallen into it. “Do you at least have friends who will be there for you? Cause it never hurts to have friends there for you.” Which was hilarious coming from her since she had done everything to push hers away after losing Billy.
“What the hell is the werewolf special?” She asked, turning to look at the menu to read it, then realizing she forgot to answer his question. “Uh yeah, sure. If you don’t mind, that is?” She knew he offered, but she wanted to double check as she turned back around to read it for herself what this special was.
