WHO: Noelle Lange & John Constantine. WHAT: Having a nice romantic picnic. WHEN: Backdated to sometime during Ren plot. WHERE: Outside in town somewhere. WARNINGS: None. STATUS: Closed | Completed gdoc.
The simple life, for the both of them, was nice. Even if his life wasn't as simple as most thought it was. Not considering his lineage and what he had to hide. Being part of the fae was not an easy thing but he'd been doing it from a young age. From the moment he'd come to live among the humans. Though, he knows that it was bound to be his downfall in the long run.
There was also, unfortunately, (or fortunately) a rule about fae falling in love with humans. Noelle was special to him and he wouldn't have it any other way. No matter what the fae court would want. So, when he shows up to see her, he watches her," How has your day been, love?"
He figured they could head out and walk around town, possibly even find a little spot for them to sit down for a picnic. Somewhere quiet just the two of them.
Noelle was looking forward to spending time with John. Honestly, there wasn't a time when she didn't. She fancied him quite a bit and to her surprise, he fancied her as well. She'd remembered the first day they met, how she thought he was quite handsome and to her amazement, he had approached her and the rest was history.
Since they had planned a picnic, Noelle had packed some food and drinks into a basket, which she carried with her as they walked around town. "It's been going quite well," she replied. At least, so far she had no complaints. "I spent the morning with my sister then got some fresh bread from one of the merchants." Which was now in the basket she was carrying.
"And you? How has your day been?"
Spending as much time as they could together was nice. The day that he'd met her he'd seen her as a beautiful young woman. There had been no doubts about that. For a human she was pretty amazing in his eyes. Of course, he's not so sure how she'd feel if she knew of his true nature. Being fae came with a few downfalls, but he wasn't about to worry about that. Worrying only led to heartache and he wasn't ready for that. Not when his kind tend to love as fiercely as they did. Even if it was normally with their own kind.
"I'm sure she enjoyed time with you." Family meant everything to those that belonged to another species. Something that he'd been noting for some time now. Noelle was no exception. The sisters seemed to have this bond to them and they should have. Just as they should protect one another, as was normal and amazing. To him anyway.
"My day has been going rather well. It's better now that I'm with you, love. I figure we can go to the park," He tells her. A spot that they both enjoyed.
"She did, although I think she's been missing Sir Waylon quite a lot lately." Waylon had been courting her sister but they stopped things after his jousting accident. Noelle wasn't quite sure who broke it off first or what happened exactly. She just knew Darcy was pretty heartbroken about it.
She wished she could do more for her sister but for now, she simply wanted to spend time with John and focus on him. She couldn't help but smile brightly at his words. "You're very sweet, you know that?" She wrapped an arm around his, leaning her head against him as they continued to walk.
"It is quite a nice day out," she said. A perfect day for a romantic picnic. Once they arrived at the park, she quickly scanned the area. "How about that spot over there?" she pointed to an empty space near a large tree. There was plenty of room to lay out a blanket and there was shade as well.
"Has she talked to Sir Waylon at all?" He doesn't know the full extent of what was going on and that was fine. As long as Noelle did then it's what mattered. Though, he trusted if anything needed to be said or done then the one who held his heart would tell him. That way they could work as a united front. Be there for family and the like.
He can't help but give a bit of a smile when her head leans against him," Seems there's this lass that likes to say that about me. Don't know if it's true or not." That last part, however, is a bit teasing. He knows exactly what she thought of him and loved her little remarks.
"Aye, it is," He tells her. "As for the spot, that looks perfect," He says giving a soft smile, leading her over toward the spot by the large tree. Once she steps away he grabs out the blanket that they'd brought with them to lay it out. "Seems you're good at this," he teases. Picking out just the right spots for their outings, that was.
"Not since his incident," Noelle replied. If Darcy had since then, then she hadn't told Noelle about it yet.
She just turned to him and smirked a bit. "Is there? I think she might be telling the truth." Perhaps he wasn't always sweet and kind, but he was to her and that was all that mattered to her. She was similar in that way. She wasn't always the most friendly, but she did have a softer side - a side only very few people saw, including her sister and the man beside her.
"I'm good at quite a few things," she smiled, leaning in and almost kissing him but pulling away at the last second. Yes, she was being a bit playful and teasing. She wasn't normally but she liked having a bit of fun. Besides, she always liked it when he made the first move. She sat the basket down and began rummaging through. "Here's the bread I mentioned earlier. I also got some fruits and wine as well."
"Is that right?"
He's amused when she goes on to say that the lass might be telling the truth about him. Sure, he wasn't always that way, but he was to those that mattered. She was one of the ones who would always matter to him. Someone who held his fae heart in her hands and she didn't realize it. Not when he's sure that she thinks him just a mere human.
The near kiss has him laughing a bit. Sitting down beside her, he places his hand over hers and pulls her in a little, kissing her. "I'm sure we'll enjoy every last bit of it. Nice day out... food and a beautiful lady. Couldn't picture a day any better than this one."
Noelle smiled as she returned the kiss. She always enjoyed kissing him. She could picture herself doing it everyday for the rest of her life, if he wanted to as well. "Me neither. This is quite perfect," she said as she snuggled up to him.
