Re: Teruko & Juliet
Juliet could only imagine the trouble one could cause with those kinds of abilities, especially when it came to the law breaking type of trouble. Only abilities she had ever dealt with were ones people tricked others into believing were real or it was all in their head. Nothing like what she had seen around this town. So it was out of her comfort zone; however, it never stopped her, especially when it came to the law.
That was sad to hear how young he was when he got involved, wondering if it was one of those looking for a place to fit in. Did it make it right? Not at all, but she knew how sometimes people got involved in the life of crime whether it was gangs, mafia, etc because of the tight knit group. “Most people don’t care about the innocent bystanders. In their mind it’s usually collateral damage and worth the loss if they hit what they were trying to hit. Then you have some who do care, especially since they have their rules.” Juliet knew her information between her degree, her training, and her job, she was quite informed on the different aspects of that world. Depending on if her mafia did things the same way as the mafia in her world did things.
“Does not help when the law enforcement around here are not all that useful or helpful. Not huge fans of us so I’m sure they’d love to catch one of us screwing up to blame us all.” Juliet had heard how it had taken time for people from here to adjust to them, and even now the problems still happened. She was sure if he or any of the criminals did anything, it would have greater consequences in the long run of things. “I know some people are treating this place like a second chance. Maybe he is as well?” Juliet didn’t like the idea of a mass murderer running around, but she couldn’t change that and he was free so maybe he was going to change his ways?
