Nancy was glad that Hope was up for some magic talk. She knew a bit about how magic worked within her world, but the people in this town came from worlds where magic was quite a bit different. It opened up a lot of possibilities, especially with the issue that she was trying to solve. That is, if magic from another world could work against magic from a whole other world. Nancy had to see, and she figured the best way was to talk with someone who knew more about magic than she did. She had learned a lot in a very short period of time about the world of supernatural and magic, but there was still a lot she didn’t know, especially when she had no real interest in sharpening her possible magic skills that she may have, thanks to her bloodline. Ace was the only reason she’d even toy with the idea of attempting magic, knowing she’d do anything to keep him safe no matter the cost on her end. Since her research in some of the books had turned up dead ends and not all that helpful, she was going a different route, crossing her fingers for some better results than what she had so far. Choosing to turn to someone who she trusted a bit from a world different from her own, that had their own version of magic, hoping to maybe get better results when it came to information or ideas that could be used during their magic discussion.
When she saw the time on her phone was close enough to when the two had agreed to meet at Starbucks, Nancy grabbed her stuff and headed over to the coffee shop. Once in line, she glanced around for any sign of Hope only to see the other girl hadn’t arrived yet. If she knew what Hope liked, Nancy would’ve ordered it, but she didn't, so when it came her turn, she only got her drink of choice. She paid for the drink before going to find a seat off to the side and took a sip of her drink, waiting for any sign of Hope while she enjoyed her drink.
