Gordon had no idea what was going on, how he'd gotten there, or how to get home. And honestly? He kind of didn't care at the moment. About anything. That kind of apathy was what happened when you saw your best friend die right before your eyes, he supposed. Claire would probably say something about how it wasn't apathy, he was in shock, but really? Gordon was okay with calling it apathy.
Calling it apathy meant he didn't have to hurt as much. Meant he didn't have to try processing anything. As long as he didn't feel it, didn't grieve for it, he hadn't really lost Orrin after all. Healthy coping was nowhere in his wheelhouse and in better times, he'd probably admit it.
At the moment, though, he wasn't doing much of anything other than sitting at the bar and working at beer number two. He was pacing himself, which wasn't really his usual style. He was feeling a little masochistic, though -- pacing himself meant thinking entirely too much, which wasn't really his style either. Actually, thinking in general wasn't really his style. Losing Orrin was doing a lot to change that, though, and not for the better.
He'd care about it later, though.
