What: Ty's out for a run

Ty had a rare night off of both homework and work. He wanted to hang with Tandy for a bit and then maybe watch a movie with Lizzie later. But right now? Tyrone needed to go for a run and then go train in Mia's barn for a bit. One of these months he wanted to give fight night a try, but he needed to up his conditioning. While he didn't make it a habit to skip out on his workouts, the last month made it difficult to get in the runs and training he wanted.

Today, he started in the woods and ran along some trails. Then he jogged to the park. His plan included a brief break at the park to drink some water he brought with him, then make his way to Mia's.

He finally stopped on a bench, taking a few sips of water. At least he could tell the last month hadn't been as rough as he thought, because he kept his average pace.

Stiles wasn't a runner, or a jogger, or anything of the sort, but he was a teenage kid whose best friend had randomly turned into Santa Claus, which just might have been the strangest thing he'd ever experienced in his short yet very weird life. So he was in the park to get some air and to try to work this out. Back at home didn't work at all - not with Scott back there being all...Santa Clausy. No, it had to be out here, away from everyone else, even if he was panting a little because he'd actually tried to jog a little since the werewolves did it all the time and it seemed to help them.

For him, it had only confirmed that he was most certainly not a werewolf.

He was gasping for air when the other guy came running through, and he looked over at him, coveting that water bottle.

"Hey, can I have a sip?"

	Ty looked at who spoke to him and saw Stiles, more than a little out of breath. Okay, this version of Stiles, who he didn't really know, but thought maybe he should. This Stiles hadn't broken up with Lizzie. "Are you okay?" Ty looked concerned as he passed his water bottle to Stiles. "You look like you might die." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"I'm probably not going to die. I mean, I might. But I think it's unlikely. I just suck at...moving." He waved a hand. There'd been a time when Scott had sucked as much as he had at the physical stuff, but then Scott had become a werewolf. And crazy good at physical stuff.

And still, Stiles sucked.

He took a drink from the water bottle and passed it back to him.

"Just human, you know? Just a human trying to keep up with werewolves."

Ty definitely did not suck at moving. Even before he got his powers, Ty could move well. Plus, the whole playing varsity basketball back at home helped. And given how much Lizzie liked his body, he certainly didn't intend to stop working out.

"I mean, if you jogged a bit, you might suck less, but it's definitely not everyone's thing." At all, really. Even Ty hated running, but still did it.

"Yeah, I'm just a human too." Okay, not quite, but while Ty could teleport, he didn't actually posses superhuman speed or anything like Scott. "Keeping up with werewolves sounds exhausting."

"If I jog a lot, I will die," he said simply. And he meant it. He'd tried to do all that stuff, he'd even tried to play Lacrosse, but he was always going to be skinny, human Stiles and he was actually okay with that when it came down to it.

"It is. And I'm sure Scott would change me if I asked. But...I'm not interested in that. I don't want to be a werewolf. I'm okay with being the human one."

"I feel that way sometimes as someone who runs, so I understand." Ty needed to stay in shape too, in case he ended up in a fight as well. Or a battle.

"I'm Ty, by the way. Sorry, I can't remember if we've met or not." He met the previous Stiles, which had been awkward given the whole Lizzie's ex-boyfriend deal.

"I totally get it. Being human has advantages." Ty liked that his powers remained hidden as long as no one attacked him. He had control, but sometimes the Dark Dimension just...opened and sucked in someone if Ty was in danger.

"I think we talked on the network," he said. "The me who was here last was apparently dating Lizzie.'

He had nothing against the young woman, but she wasn't really his type. He was glad that she'd found Ty and that they were happy.

"It does, I guess. But it's more that I just...don't want to deal with all that. I mean, I have to deal with the weirdnees anyway, of course, and being human didn't stop me from getting possessed by a Nogitsune, but I just don't want to be a werewolf."

"Oh yes! We did. Sorry." Ty looked a little embarrassed that he forgot, but not much he could do about it. "Yeah. I met him briefly, but it was awkward." So awkward.

To be fair, Lizzie wasn't Ty's type either, given his last and only other girlfriend was a Black teenaged girl who decided to become a Voodoo priestess. Lizzie just kind of happened.

"Hey, if you're happy as you are, then that's great. Really. Although sorry about the possession part." Ty dealt with enough shit back home, that he felt quite happy he bypassed a possession.

"Other me was a serious jerk. I'm still sorry about that."

He'd been raised better than that. He knew that you didn't treat girls like that, you didn't forget their birthdays or Valentine's Day, or any of that. Not if you wanted to stay together. And it wasn't a sexist thing at all, it was just the way you treated people who were special to you.

"Yeah...not my best moment." He still carried guilt about that, even though he hadn't been in control of his body. He probably always would.

"Nah, no worries. I'm glad to have this version of you. You seem nice and like maybe we could hang out sometime." Ty liked to make friends, even if at the end of the day he only needed his friendship with Tandy.

He agreed. The point of a relationship was to be kind, respectful, and loving to the other person. Especially not with Lizzie.

"We've all had not my best moment moments, so I understand." Ty smiled. "We should grab burgers sometime, but I need to go over to Mia's to get in training."

He held out his water bottle, though, in case Stiles wanted a bit more water.

"Yeah, burgers sounds great," he nodded. "And I should finish...whatever this is that I'm doing." Badly. Pretty. much everything he tried to do physically was done badly.

He did take his water bottle for one last sip, then handed it back.

"Good luck. I mean, with training and all."

He was pretty sure he'd die if he tried, but what the hell, he was doing what he could.
