This time Alyssa hugged Kate. Everyone kept saying these things to her, but she found it difficult to believe most people. For some reason Kate and the vampires made her feel more at ease. She knew it had a lot to do with the fact they didn't always follow or agree with normal society. And what she said didn't differ a lot from what Bex told her.
"I hope you all like this version." Alyssa couldn't change back to who she had been before even if she wanted it...and truthfully she didn't. The old her would be angry with Kol. The old her would be too busy trying to fit in with humans when Alyssa knew it exhausted her.
"I mean, you're kind of stuck with this one. My magic is stronger at least." When Alyssa returned the people who stood out in her brain the most were Kate, Bex, and Ned. She didn't think she could handle not being friends with them.
"Are you doing okay, though? I know a lot happened in a short period of time."
