Alyssa, thanks to muscle memory, remembered how to use her phone. And downloaded a bunch of emo music. While it didn't fill holes, it offered an odd comfort to the Netherling girl. She wore a dress again, one with room for her wings. At this point she'd given up trying to look human. Her skin glittered, her butterfly wings fluttered in the breeze as she sat in the spot she told Kate to meet her. And of course her eyes had their intricate designs, more wild than before. A think line could be found from her clavicle down and around her chest. Not that anyone could see that at the moment.
While her memories hadn't come back, her night of staying up and talking to Bex helped. Honestly, so did Kol. Alyssa knew the feelings the past her had for Kol might never return, but she trusted the vampire. Only he and Bex were the ones who fiercely told her she could be whomever and they'd still be friends. And maybe a small part of her related to the vampires more now than humans. They had a darkness and brutality that Alyssa saw in herself. That this Alyssa loved about herself, something she knew the old her kept hidden.
Now, though, she worried. Alyssa wouldn't be her old self. And with every person from the other hers past? What if they didn't accept this version of her? The version who felt completely lost amongst humans. Who forgot how to eat without killing her food first. Who knew Kate, but memories felt fuzzy. Like, she knew the other her loved Kate like a best friend.
Instead she waited, talking to the plants, hugging her knees to her chest. She'd come early to sketch. At least she'd have a lot of art for the festival.
