Phil was glad for the fact that the dinosaurs hadn't been around very long. It hadn't entirely been surprising -- dinosaurs, yes; random invasion, no -- but that didn't mean he or anybody else had wanted them around very long. There was a vast difference between being able to go see them on display and having them running around your place of residence. (Never mind that visiting them might or might have been a smart idea that one time, but still.)
It'd reminded him of the monster invasion a few years back, really, and he was of half a mind to see if Clint had gotten the same reminder or if it'd just been him.
Either was possible.
He'd spent the morning doing paperwork, which meant he was wandering the casino a little just to get himself out and moving a little so he wasn't stuck at his desk all day. He had more than a couple people who would get on his case if they thought he was spending too much time in his office. He appreciated the concern, because he knew he was a workaholic, but he'd gotten better. A little worse after Kitty had been sent home earlier in the year, but that was pretty much to be expected and he'd pulled himself together eventually.
Which was probably a good thing.
He'd been going around for a while, checking in with various employees but not getting in security's way -- he'd keep an eye on the place, but it was their collective job to handle things -- which meant it was time to wander back up to his office for a while so he could start wrapping things up. He might actually manage to get out at a civilized hour, for once.
But first, a stop at the bar to grab a drink -- non-alcoholic, because hi yes at work. And it wasn't nearly bad enough a day to warrant him breaking that rule. He'd settled in and was waiting for the bartender to bring over his drink; in the meantime, he was glancing around. He couldn't help but be proud of what the casino had become.
