Melinda was curious as to what this portal might do, she knew the movie as she had seen it multiple times growing up back home. She thought that it would be kind of fun to go and explore that world. What kinds of things would she see and get to do? Would she meet Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King? Or perhaps would it be something so scary? Scary? She had dealt with far worse things than that. She let her family know at the house that she would be going to the portal and would be back later on. Getting herself dressed, in a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Then she headed off to the portal and entered it.

Entering into the world, she looked at herself. She looked different, she felt different. She was made out of clay and she was a witch. This was so cool! As she walked around, she didn't know where she was going to start. She found the Witch's shop and decided to go exploring in there. She was greeted by a witch and talked to her about brooms and all sorts of things. When she left the shop, she headed on outside to just walk around to see what was going on. This was really quite interesting indeed.

Spike was usually open to a bit of adventure, so he tended to go through portals when they opened up, and Halloween town sounded like a good one, given that he was a creature of the night and all that.

He went through the portal and as soon as he did he felt... different, oddly more stiff in his joints, though not in a painful way, taller somehow, and his movements less smooth. Given that he couldn't look into a mirror he had no idea what he looked like, so he decided to ask a passing witch...

"Ello, pet," he said with what he tried to make a friendly smile. "This might be a daft question but what do I look like?"

Melinda moved swiftly as she could, she was stiffer than usual so she couldn't run or anything. This would be something to get used to. Her voice was the same though, perhaps she would look at herself in the mirror to see what she truly looked like. As she found a reflection, she seriously was the typical looking witch, the scraggly hair, long nose, warts, oh geez. Thank goodness that Ned was not here to see her in this form.

As she turned around to head back into the center of the town, she heard a voice. Turning around, she saw a man standing there, asking what he looked like. "Well, you're tall, skinny face, kind of a bluish face, with fangs. Guessing your a vampire." She said shrugging her shoulders.

She didn't look like she was happy or particularly used to her own reflection. Not that he would, in her place, really. "Are you someone from Madison?" he guessed.

When she told him that he was a vampire he had to laugh. "You're kidding," he chuckled, deeply amused. "So... are you a witch out in Madison, or is this a completely random change for you?" he asked conversationally.

Looking at him, she decided to be sarcastic and went, "ding ding ding, give this one a prize." She laughed, "Sorry, I had to do it. But yes, I'm someone from Madison. Melinda, Melinda Halliwell." She had told him.

Laughing with him, "Well, what else did you want from me?" She said shrugging. "And I am a witch, but this is just going beyond stereotypical of how a witch is supposed to be. I mean come on, the scraggly hair and warts?"

"Oh, I've known some witches in my time that were absolute stunners," he reassured her. "But not in Halloween Town," he added sympathetically.

"Halloween Town seems to be a little in your face," he said. "I'm Spike, and I don't usually look like this either. The little cape's a bit fetching though, isn't it?" he smiled cheerfully, revealing a cartoonish pair of fangs.

"Well, I am not that bad looking. This place makes it seem like all witches have to look the same. It's kind of rude." She said in a sarcastic tone but then was laughing about it. "This town is ummm interesting to say the least. I can scratch it off my bucket list."

"I'm Melinda. It's nice to meet you Spike." She said with a little smile. "The whole wardrobe and look you have down isn't all that bad if I could be honest." She said, "I mean, there should really be a lesson about creatures and witches if you ask me."

"Yeah, It's cheeky," he agreed, giving her a small smile.

"I've looked worse," he joked. "It's like a kid's drawing of Halloween, and I kind of like that about it. It's spooky, but it's not a hell dimension. Everything seems safe. I might take my..." he thought for a moment about what to call Dawn. "My sort of kid sister. It seems safe enough."

"But right now I'm going to check out that giant pumpkin shaped house. Nice to have met you, Melinda. Stay spooky. Or, you know, not. I'm sure you're pretty attached to how you look in the real world."

She laughed, "Yeah, it kind of is. I mean it's not what I would want to look like everyday, but it is kind of fun to look like like every once in awhile. Just glad that my boyfriend isn't here to see me. He would get a good laugh out of it."

"Yeah, I think I might do a bit exploring before heading back through the portal. And I'm sure that Dawn will enjoy this place too. It was nice to meet you Spike." She laughed, "Well, I'll try to stay spooky, I'm getting used to this look." She said as she started to walk away to explore more of this portal.
