Who: Dark Dean & Lisa Braeden
Where: Madison Valley/their house
When: 7/9 - late afternoon
What: Dark Dean pretends to be Dean
Warnings: none
In the blink of an eye, Dean suddenly found himself in the middle of a much more lively Madison Valley. The store fronts were no longer boarded up and business seemed to be thriving. Instead of seeing the street littered with broken down and burnt up vehicles there were bright and shiny cars. The whole neighborhood was far more vibrant than he was used to seeing and people hurried past him without giving him a second glance and there was no fear. “Son of a bitch. What kind of fresh hell is this awful place?” Was Sammy here? What about Dan? Twat waffle Steve? Alex, Allison, Nancy...where the fuck was everyone he knew? He didn’t recognize a single person it seemed. Both hands came up to rub briskly over his face, a slight groan escaping his lips. There was peace and order here and it was incredibly depressing. He had a gun and his knife on him, but no money to purchase anything. Which wouldn’t be a problem for long. He just had to find someone wealthy enough for him to rob. Walking down the street casually, he looked around at everyone around him, not making it obvious that he was sizing anyone up. Just when he thought he had found his mark, he finally spotted a familiar face. Lisa? It had been years since he’d last seen her, but she still looked fine as fuck, a serious milf. He couldn’t just approach her and ask to have sex with him, but his lust was slowly taking over. His mark had disappeared from his sight and his objective had changed. He crossed the street and hurried over to her before she could get away. Dean approached with a crooked grin and whistled to grab her attention. As far as he was aware, Lisa no longer had a clue as to who he was, but he didn’t know for certain. “Excuse me, have I died and gone to heaven? Because I’m definitely looking at an angel right now.” Yes, it was a tacky pickup line, but he was a little rusty. Something strange was definitely going on in Madison Valley and the worst part was, Lisa wasn’t able to get a hold of Dean. In the middle of what felt like a potential crisis, the two people equipped to handle it were nowhere to be found in the town. After getting a busy signal again, Lisa headed out in search of her boyfriend, but so far, she had come up empty handed at all his normal hangout spots. She figured she’d regroup at their house when a whistle caught her attention. Lisa turned around with the full intention of telling the guy to fuck off. She wasn’t in the mood right now for cat calls, but instead she came face to face with the man she’d been looking for. What the hell? Lisa watched as he crossed the street, making his way over to her and promptly dropping a very cheap pickup line on her. What? “Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you everywhere and the first thing you say to me when I find you is a cheap pickup line?” Lisa reached out and hugged him, annoyance giving away to complete relief. Things would be okay; Dean was here. “Are you alright?” She pulled back and touched his face gently. “I was worried.” "Hey, that wasn't-" what the fuck? She knew him and was worried about him? The way she touched his face made him realize that something was very wrong here. Had he somehow crossed over into another dimension? What was he supposed to do now? "Yeah, I'm fine, of course. Why were you so worried?" Was there another Dean walking around? Was he in a relationship with her? Why did everything seem so much better here? "Do you have any money I can borrow? I lost my wallet and I'm not sure where the hell it went." He didn't really want her money, he was just curious to see her response. Did they live together? He was certain that she believed him to be someone else. The real question now was, how far did he want to go? If he played along and pretended to be the Dean she knew, would that even work? Lisa shook her head. “Of course you’re fine. Even if you weren’t, you wouldn’t tell me. That’s just you.” Lisa was relieved to see he was physically okay, especially since she hadn’t been able to reach him. While she wasn’t sure what was going on for sure, she felt like something strange was definitely happening in Madison Valley. At least Dean was here to help her handle it and protect Ben. That was all that mattered. Though his first response had been rather weird, even for Dean. He looked rather taken aback when she touched his face...like he wasn’t sure what to do. Then again, maybe it was just her imagination too. Maybe she was looking for trouble where there was nothing to be found. “I couldn’t reach you, Duh,” Lisa dropped her hand from his face. “And you lost your wallet too. Seriously, Dean.” Lisa unzipped her purse and pulled out her wallet. She did keep a lot of cash on her, but there was at least twenty dollars in there at the moment. “We’ll have to cancel your bank card and credit cards then so no one uses them.” She held out a twenty to him. “What do you need it for out of curiosity? I mean we bought beer last week.” What the actual fuck? He looked down at her hands to check for an engagement or wedding ring, but she wasn't wearing any. Was he in a serious and committed relationship with her? "Yeah, no, you're right. I'll call them later. Can you just give me a ride back home?" It was the only way to find out where he actually lived here. Part of him was left wondering if he had switched places with another version of himself, or if they were both walking around here. The latter would definitely not be a good thing. "Forget the money, I wanted to get something to eat, but I can just grab something back at the house." Dean forced a smile, trying his best to appear like the pathetic piece of shit she really knew. "Or, we could just grab something on the way home? Babe." Maybe if he pretended she was Sara, it might help. He had no feelings whatsoever for Lisa. Well, other than lustful desire, that was. "Have you seen my friend, Dan? Or, Sam, have you seen him?" Why the hell was this so damn hard? Something was definitely off about Dean. Since when did he need Lisa to give him a ride anywhere. He was never far from Baby. Lisa noticed his eyes shift to her hands before moving to her face again. It was like he was looking for something. What the hell was going on? Lisa slipped the money back into her purse and zipped it up. At least the consistent appetite sounded like the Dean she knew. “Yeah, sure. I’m surprised you don’t have Baby with you,” Lisa added, turning to cover the small distance to her car and unlocking the doors. “You don’t go anywhere without that car usually.” He did call her “babe.” Still, that smile didn’t feel real to her. Something was wrong. Lisa started the engine once he was inside and shifted into drive. They weren’t far from their house at least. “I don’t think I’ve met Dan actually, but Sam is around here somewhere I’m sure. He’s probably with Shosanna or working.” Lisa had never heard of Dan until this moment actually. Maybe Dean just never mentioned him until now? Still, it was strange. She couldn’t see Dean keeping something as trivial as a friend’s name from her. It didn’t make sense. Lisa pulled into their garage and shut off the engine. The door to the house was always open from the garage and after shutting the garage door, Lisa led Dean into the house and to the kitchen. Though, she doubted he needed directions to get there. “Well, the fridge is full so help yourself…” Lisa trailed off, putting her purse down on the counter. “You sure you’re okay?” Baby? The Impala was there in town? "It was such a nice day outside that I thought a bit of fresh air would do me good. But, I was wrong, and walking totally sucks." Hopefully, the car was sitting at the house as he had no idea where it might be. Why was he even bothering with this? Oh, right, Lisa was hot as fuck and he didn't want to pass that up. With any luck, she wouldn't figure it out too soon. "I never introduced you to Dan? I'll have to remedy that soon." Who the fuck was Shosanna and what was she doing with his brother? Dean was quiet for the majority of the car ride, paying close attention to his surroundings so he could find his way back to the house, if necessary. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw Baby in the garage. He was definitely going to take her for a ride around town. He was a little surprised at how nice the house was and he felt a slight pang of jealousy. Why did this Dean get to live so comfortably while he had to suffer? He followed her to the kitchen, grateful that she had done so, or it would have been hard to explain. Without wasting a second, he had the refrigerator open and holy shit. He pulled the freezer open and found some frozen steaks, plus so many other good things he hadn't eaten in a year now. "We should have steak for dinner. In fact, I think I'll have some now. Do you want one, too?" He pulled his head from the freezer and looked at Lisa with a bright grin. "I'm sure I'm fine, babe. Just kind of hungry is all." Well, hearing him say walking totally sucks sounded more like the Dean she knew at least. Though, his sigh of relief at the sight of Baby was odd. He knew the car was safely tucked away in their garage. Lisa would never even dream of getting behind the wheel of such an iconic car. The Impala was strictly Dean’s and Lisa was more than okay with it being that way. She’d feel horrible if something happened to it while in her care. She pushed the thought away as she watched Dean open the fridge and then moved to the freezer. She figured he’d make a sandwich or something, but nope, he went right for the steaks. Lisa arched her brow as he said he wanted one now and asked if she did as well. It was almost dinner time anyway and Lisa hadn’t eaten since breakfast. She’d been too busy looking for Dean for most of the day. “Uh, sure. Yeah that would be great,” Lisa replied with a smile. “I haven’t eaten since breakfast. Besides, you haven’t used that grill in a bit.” Lisa nodded towards the patio they had outside. “I think I bought some potato salad.” She maneuvered around him to take it from the fridge. “Yeah, you’re fine. I guess I should start to worry when that notorious appetite you have disappears or you eat a salad.” He had already pulled out one of the steaks for himself, and when Lisa responded he grabbed another two. Dean was currently in heaven, with all of the food available to him, and he wasn’t going to let any opportunity to have a good meal go to waste. “Potato salad sounds good, or I can bake some potatoes on the grill?” He was more than ready to go all out for dinner, and the sex could wait. He fumbled around in the kitchen, in search of tongs or a meat fork, and then the plates. “I am so hungry, I could eat a fucking horse, seriously.” If this was the life his other version was living, then he was prepared to kill the other and take his place here. Dean certainly wasn’t in any hurry to go back, that was for sure. Still, he needed to figure out if Sam was here, and where he was exactly. “I had salad once, and it was awful, and I’ll never do it again.” He sliced through the plastic wrap on the steaks and set them down on the plate, leaving the garbage on the counter. Potatoes weren’t as important, so he grabbed the plate of steaks, along with the meat fork and made his way outside to the grill. It took him a minute to figure out all the knobs, but it wasn’t long before he was standing in front of the grill, beaming proudly. The only thing that would make this better would be whiskey. But, he’d have to settle for a beer, until he found the liquor himself. After checking the temperature one more time, he went back inside and grabbed a beer from the fridge. Lisa watched as he fumbled around the kitchen for the necessary grilling tools to cook the steaks. It was clear he had no clue where they were and Lisa grew somewhat suspicious again. He was the last one to use them so how could he possibly forget where they were? Lisa slipped the potato salad back in the fridge and pulled out a few potatoes instead. Keeping him busy was probably a good idea until she could figure out exactly what was going on with her boyfriend. Lisa followed him outside and added two potatoes to the grill. Again, he fumbled as if he didn’t know how to work the grill that he had purchased. “Yeah, I can totally see that you’re starving. You and your red meat,” Lisa replied, keeping her voice light even though she was feeling the slightest bit wary now. Lisa waited for a moment before stepping back inside after him. He took a beer from the fridge and Lisa leaned against the counter. “Too bad our son isn’t here to have a steak too. Have to love teenagers.” Dean was beginning to sense her suspicion of him, and he needed to reassure her somehow, that he was the Dean she knew. "Red meat is one of the best food groups. You can never have too much of it. In my opinion, of course." He twisted off the cap of his beer and chugged it down. Dean had almost finished the bottle when she mentioned their son. He was skilled in the art of deception, but he couldn't keep it together and nearly choked on the beer, spitting some of it out. "Fuck, I drank that too quickly and choked on it. Definitely not my finest moment." He looked at her with a hesitant smile before continuing. "Yes, and where is our son anyway?" His efforts to reassure Lisa would have worked, but then he choked on his beer at the mention of Ben and Lisa frowned. She rushed over and quickly handed Dean a glass of water, removing the beer bottle from his hand. To be fair, he had been chugging that bottle though and Lisa knew she couldn’t take that as a sign of being “shocked” about Ben. Lisa rubbed his back until he caught his breath. “Slow down. We have as many as you want to drink, weirdo.” Lisa shook her head, laughing. “You act like you haven’t drank a beer in years.” “Ben’s out with friends. Probably making good use of his video gaming system too.” Nice fucking save. For a moment, he thought he was a goner. How many other bombshells would she throw at him? Would he be able to control his actions at the time? What if she caught him in some kind of lie? Suddenly, it all seemed like a bad idea and he was wondering if he should take the car and come back. "No, I know, I was just super thirsty." It tasted so different from what he brewed in the other place, and he had forgotten how good it could be. "So, I think I'm going to hit the town after this. Maybe see if I can find Sam. Is that cool with you?" At this point, he realized having sex with her was a terrible idea. He was clueless as to how they acted together in bed, and he wasn't about to get his dick chopped off if and when she realized he was different. After just getting him back, Lisa was hesitant to make it that easy for him to go, but Dean was a grown man. If he wanted to go find his brother, Lisa couldn’t stop him. Besides, maybe finding Sam was just what he needed right now. She hadn’t been able to locate the younger Winchester herself anyway. “Yeah, sure. If you find him, tell him ‘Hi’ for me. When I went looking for you, I couldn’t find him either,” Lisa replied, shrugging her shoulders. “Let’s have some dinner and you can get going.” Given that he had known her way back when, Dean felt a slight amount of guilt when he saw how reluctant she was to let him go. “Yeah, I’m sure he’s fine. I just have something I need to talk to him about, that’s all. I’ll let him know you said hi.” Finding it to be incredibly awkward, Dean turned his attention back to the grill and started poking at the steaks, his mouth watering. He needed another beer already, and he couldn’t wait to get the fuck away from Lisa. There was nothing wrong with her, but the longer he stayed, the more she could become suspicious of him. |
