It had been a little over a week in the 21st century, and Jacob found that while it was confusing at times, he enjoyed it. It smelled nicer, the roads weren't muddy tracks or cobblestones, but something called 'asphalt', and whoever invented indoor plumbing was going to get a long thank you letter from him. The buildings were also taller, though easily scaled still. The one thing that stayed the same had been the trees and Jacob found himself perched in one enjoying the afternoon weather.

One moment he was looking out over the lake, and the next something glittering on the ground not far from the path caught his eye. Dropping from the tree with practiced ease, Jacob quickly moved over and scooped up the object, which turned out to be a bracelet. Looking around, he spotted a young woman walking along that very path up a ways and closed the distance between them. "Excuse me, miss? Did you happen to drop this?" He held out the bracelet, motioning to the bit of path behind them.

Daphne had decided that it was a lovely day to go for a brisk walk in the park. She always enjoyed going to the park just to enjoy nature in all it's beauty. As she was wearing a skirt with a nice comfortable shirt, to complete her ensemble she was wearing a nice bracelet and a necklace. Grabbing her purse and put it over her shoulder and headed for the park.

When she had arrived at the park, she found a lovely path to walk along. Looking up into the sky and breathing in the fresh air, she started thinking about her life here. It was not as bad as she thought it was going to be. Just then she heard a voice and opened up her eyes and looked at the man that appeared to be holding a bracelet. Looking at her own wrist, she must have dropped it when she was walking. "Well, I do believe that I have dropped it. Thank you so kindly for retrieving it for me." As she took it and put it back on her wrist.

	As she turned, he noted yet another familiar face from the network. The portrait had been small as per usual, so it was once again nice to see an actual face with lively detail. Touching the brim of his hat in a simple salutation, Jacob gave her a small kind smile. "It's no trouble at all, miss.. I believe we met over the network? Bass drops and the like?" When she looked at her wrist and knowing that her bracelet was back where it belonged, she smiled back up at him. Trying to decide who it was that she was speaking to on the network.

Realizing who it was, she started to giggle a little bit. "Why yes, of course. I really hope that I never run into that type of music. It just sounds awful." She said with a grin on her face.

	The giggling made him mirror her grin with one of his own. "Awful is an understatement.." He sighed dramatically, "but I suspect it's just another thing in a long list of things to have to get used to about the 21st century.." Shaking his head, Jacob winced. 	"Yes, of course it is. But that music just does not seem like something I would enjoy listening to at all." When he mentioned the 21st century, she was curious. "So are you from the past as well?" She asked. "It is very nice to meet you Jacob. I am Daphne, Daphne Bridgerton." She said giving him a slight smile as she gave a small curtsy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"I am. 1868." He had found out that he wasn't the earliest time by far as there was a Borgia in town, he couldn't imagine how the woman had initially found Madison to be.

Now, he would've kissed her hand, but the first time he had done that here, the woman had slapped him and called him something akin to a 'cad'... So he merely contented himself with another touch of his fingers to the brim of his hat.

"It's a pleasure, Ms. Bridgerton."

"Oh. I am from the year 1813, London to be exact. It is quite fascinating that there are other people here from different time eras. How are you adjusting here?" She asked.

After she curtsied she brought herself up, it was always the proper thing to do when introducing oneself. Seeing as she was in the future for herself at least, she could not just forget the respect of greeting someone.

"So how long have you been here in Madison Valley?"

"1813 London? I'm from London as well," though he didn't know how or what to expect from London a half a century away from his own time. It had been a loud, boisterous and grimy sort of place, but Daphne Bridgerton appeared to have come from the more delicate side. Jacob couldn't envision her with soot stains on her dress.

"Almost two long and blundering weeks.. Yourself?"

"Really? That is incredible. You know it is kind of nice to know someone that is from the past just like I am and within the same area." She said with a grin on her face. "So what is London like in your time? I wonder if it changed or stayed the same." She always wondered if things would have stayed the same or not.

"Almost two months. I am still getting used to this place, but I am finding it to be quite fascinating. Especially the entertainment and the food."

It really was.. At least in the same century. "Oh," he began cheerfully and upbeat. "A rotting cesspool of debauchery and depravity.. You know, the regular." He smiled, shrugging. "But I suspect you and I are both from different areas of London proper."

Two months?! The time some of these people had been stuck here were astounding. At least she had hopefully found herself getting acclimated as time wore on.

When hearing all about the London that he came from, she kept her smile but in her mind she was thinking how dreadful that might be to live in. "That does not sound pleasant at all. But, kind of interesting." She then nodded her head. "Yes, I was actually a debutante, entering into the marriage mart. Everything having to be the finest." She looked at him, "You know it is interesting, both of us coming from London in different times but how different London ended up being."

It was rather odd and interesting at the same time. All she could think about was her family and well, she would be well into old age at that time. She wondered about all of that.

That solved it. There wasn't any judgement from Jacob about debutantes.. Granted, she was the first debutante he had met. She must've been way before the Templars and Starrick had made a muck up of the entire city and its boroughs.. Or, like it was explained to him, from a different sort of London in a different world all together.

"I should let you get back to your walk, Ms. Bridgerton. Let's not be strangers, though." He gave her a smile.
