"Little bit of both, really," Sean replied after a moment to consider things. "This is the first time I've really been able to be alone with my thoughts since all this... whatever it is... started."
Largely because Alex kept somehow managing to escape whoever he was staying with and show up at the door. Sean wasn't quite sure why he was so fascinating to the kid, but he wasn't going to complain. It was nice having someone who apparently looked up to him or something.
