Rose Hathaway + Belphegor
Blending in. It was a simple enough concept, and one that the demon had been keen to stick with when he first got out of Hell. Yet after being in town for a while Bel found it hard to remember to watch what he said. Sure sure, he had started out just joking about the stuff animal at his side, but when she spoke up again the former torturer of the damned realized he had slipped up just a tad. Still instead of trying to back pedal or even play it off as a jest, the 'young man' just scratched his head for a second before finally shrugging. "At least it's a dry heat I suppose. This place is all kinds of chilly by comparison."
The fact that she had come here to watch the fireworks was a good sign that he was in for a treat. After all, who sticks around to watch something boring? "Yeah? That's cool. I've heard good things, but I missed seeing fireworks during the big Fourth of July thing. So I'm interested to see what the big deal is." Maybe it would be disappointing, yet so far this town hadn't let Bel down when it came to keeping him entertained.
