Sean still wasn't quite sure what to make of Madison Valley. Mostly just because he couldn't decide what was weirder, the fact that so many people were from different points in time -- though at least he had people from home that he knew -- or the fact that his father was there. Which was, technically speaking, a part of that first thing. But at the same time? It was weird enough to be a separate thing all its own.
He hadn't actually been weirded out by having siblings, though. Wyatt and Brie were pretty cool.
And then there was the fact that he was pretty sure there was something people weren't telling him. That was probably pissing him off more than anything, honestly. He was a grown man capable of dealing with things, even when they weren't pleasant. Hey, he'd dealt with his uncle telling him to get married and have kids someday. If he could handle that, he could handle pretty much anything.
He'd spent a fair number of evenings since his arrival at the bar, because it wasn't really like he had much else to do. He wasn't there to get drunk, he wasn't there to pick anyone up -- largely because that never went well for him, ever -- he was just... trying to get away from the fact that he felt like he was completely floundering, completely lost. So far, no such luck.
He took a sip of the beer in front of him, turning slightly and watching people as he sat there. He was quiet, pensive, pretty much the way he'd been the entirety of the past few months. It was working for him -- or something.
