There were few things Sif enjoyed more than when life was normal. Not just when the town wasn't actively messing with them, but when she was full-on in the middle of an easy daily routine -- the kind of one she'd only ever lead in Madison Valley. As much as she loved home, as much as she was meant to be a warrior, she also firmly believed that she was meant to be in town. She also didn't know how long she was meant to be there, but she was determined to make the most of it.
Which meant taking an unusual sort of enjoyment in things like grocery shopping. Oh, it wasn't like she thought it was fun or anything, but it was normal. She'd pretty quickly learned to appreciate all things normal in town, whether they were actually enjoyable or not.
She was a woman of remarkably simple pleasures, though, and even something as simple as grocery shopping tended to make her happy -- even if only because it was still an unusual experience. Walmart was a special sort of special, alright? People there could be... interesting.
At the moment, though, she wasn't people-watching. Well, not just people-watching. She was halfway through the list, which meant she was working her way through the produce section. Sometimes she was methodical in her shopping, sometimes she just sort of got to stuff on her list as she got to it.
Today was one of those "as she got to it" days.
