It was true; you only lived through your teenage years once. You only experienced prom once. At the Salvatore boarding school, they had attempted to keep things as normal and routine for students as they possibly could despite the students being anything, but normal. Hope thought they succeeded at least half the time in the regard, but it was at least an effort. In public school, those things would just happen without hesitation or thought because that was what a normal, public school did. It was worth experiencing some of it. Hope knew her family, especially her mom, wouldn't have wanted her to miss out on stuff like that.
"Let's just say certain differences about me compared to other people," Hope replied carefully. Seeing as how open everyone was about powers, she figured eventually she would end up being seen using them or just telling someone. "But they are not noticeable or anything. And from what I hear, they shouldn't make much of a difference anyway." If the people here were as accepting as the others made it seem.
"But, thanks for the information." Hope didn't want to monopolize all of Brooke's time. The young woman had provided a good amount of information on public school and given Hope something to think about. That was more than good enough for her for the time being. "I'll think about what you said. I should probably let you go though. I'm sure you have other things planned for the day."
