“Hopefully, the dome doesn’t decide that would be funny and start putting neon signs on the newbies because that would suck,” Brooke commented. Though it wouldn’t be a problem on her end since the newbie title was well gone on her end; however, she’d feel for anyone who got stuck with that shit. “Same to you, Hope,” she replied, switching the phone back to her other hand once she brought her hand back to her side.
“No if about it. This place will bring more and the title of being new will pass. I had it for a bit and everyone has had to deal with it at one point or another,” She wasn’t sure if that would make Hope feel better, but Brooke tried. It’d be one thing if she knew the girl better only she didn’t so she wasn’t completely sure if the comment was going to help or not. Another one who came from a small town, but the public school comment was the part that caught her attention. Pausing on her thought as her drink was set down on the counter to grab it, spinning it slightly in her hand to mix it while moving out of the way for Hope. Once slightly out of the way, she pressed play on the thought that had been in her head. “Yeah, I traded in one small town for another. Couldn’t have ended up somewhere bigger, but nah, I got the short end,” Brooke brushed it off as she continued on, “What aren’t you sure on with public schools? Did you attend a private school back home?” God that had to suck. If her dad had ever even thought about it, she’d have raised hell.
