Hope still had not made up her mind on if she wanted to be home schooled. In her mind, there really were only two options: not going to school and being home schooled. Public school was not for someone like her; if she screwed up, everyone would know what she was and Hope wasn't ready to share that with anyone here just yet aside from the only person who knew, Landon. He was the only person she trusted right now. Merlin was not a bad person, but he was still a ways off from earning Hope's trust. At least, if she chose to reveal her true self to him, he would understand it. Well, the magic aspect. Hope was not sure how much he knew about werewolves or the potential for her to become a vampire. She was positive he knew nothing about tribrids.
Should she let him home school her? Hope took her education seriously, but a big part of her education had been learning how to exercise and use all her abilities. To do that, she would have to reveal herself to Merlin and hope that he understood and could formulate some kind of curriculum around that. Could he do that? He said he knew how to home school someone, but she doubted that person was anything like herself. Hope was a different sort all together. Where did that leave her then? It was frustrating; as much as she liked the Landon remembered her (somehow), she wished Alaric was here or any teacher from the Salavatore school. Someone who understood her better could have helped immensely right now. Unfortunately, there was no guarantee that was going to ever happen. Merlin might be her only option since she doubted public school would offer anything related to magic or werewolf expertise. She could always try to teach herself too. She'd done it before with new spells and Hope was certainly far from helpless.
Though she was not normally a coffee person, Hope decided to stop at Starbucks and indulge in a little caffeine. Starbucks had a variety of drinks so coffee was far from the only option anyway even if everything was overpriced. She purchased herself a frappacino, following after a young blond woman who stepped off to the side to wait for her drink. Hope followed suit, careful to make sure she didn't accidentally end up colliding with her. She looked young enough to be in high school. Hope wondered if she was home schooled though or if she attended the public school here. She wasn't much of a conversationalist, especially around people she didn't know, but collecting information required she be more open to the idea.
"I guess afternoon is the a good time to come here. Not much of a wait," Hope offered up in the way of an ice breaker. She didn't want to launch into asking a random question to a random person. That would just get her looked at for the freak she technically was.
