While it was always fun to run into mutants since they were the ones who Lorna usually trusted a little easier than humans, she knew around here the species varied to all different types. She really didn’t mind all that cause she wanted to make sure her daughter was accepting of everyone. Okay, that was more Marcos with her accepting of humans, but Lorna knew it was the right thing to do and she didn’t want Dawn fearing anyone or anything, especially when chances were very high once her powers came into play, she’d be hard to mess with. “Never said you were. If we were in my world, then I might think it, but here the list is a whole lot longer.”
Lorna called bullshit on the concerned citizen as she knew he was something, but hey, it was his choice if he wanted to keep it to himself. Sad he didn’t own it; however, she knew not everyone was like her on being open and fine about what they were. “Please if any ass kicking was needed I got it,” she told him a shrug and oh, how she wished there was some ass to kick. She was really missing that more than anything since she was good at the kicking ass and fighting, which was why she enjoyed her job since she could stay top of her game.
His question brought a cocky little smirk upon her lips. Normally, she had no problem with showing off or telling people, but she wasn’t about to make it that easy on the poor guy. “Now where would be the fun in telling you that? I should keep the people guessing so they come back for more or some shit like that,” she teased, pushing the stroller. “How about once you get yourself more settled in around here, then we can talk about me maybe showing you what I can do?” Lorna was giving the guy a hard time and figured he was going to claim something like not having abilities, but she was curious since the guy seemed interesting enough. Which sparking her interest was never easy.
