Buffy + The Doctor
If Buffy was not accustomed to strange things happening in her life, hearing about the Doctor talking to Charlie Chaplin would have sounded weird and impossible. However, Buffy had heard and seen more than her share of strange, supposedly "impossible," things in her life. Actually, hearing the Doctor say she met Charlie Chaplin was far less strange than most of those things.
"You've met a lot of famous people in your life then?" Buffy implored, giving the blond a curious look. The Doctor had lapsed into silence momentarily, no doubt thinking of her experience with the most famous silent film star there had ever been. It again reminded Buffy that the Doctor, no matter how human she appeared, was actually not human. Like Buffy, she was a little bit of something else even if she looked like a normal human would.
"Traveling through time can do that I guess. You lose track of which resolution you made in what year," Buffy replied with a smile. She'd never time traveled before, but it was interesting to think about. Not that she could leave where she currently was now without it being a certain place or being sent back home. It had to be stifling to the Doctor at best. "But you can try. Madison Valley isn't going anywhere and neither are we."
