Cole glanced down at the floor at the mention of the bullet wound. He didn't like to think about that; didn't like the idea of Cassie being in any kind of pain. He'd done enough already to screw up her life. The last thing Cole wanted to do, ever, was to nearly get her killed.
"I'm sure you were a great patient." He was just as bad, though. Cole didn't like to sit still for too long, but here? It was still a strange feeling. An odd frame of mind to be in - not looking over his shoulder constantly - but here he was.
Here they were.
"Honestly, Cass? Probably not too much. This might have even impressed Jones." Which was definitely saying something. Katarina Jones was a difficult women to dazzle.
"Are you okay now?" Cole asked, glancing over at her.
