4 Drabbles from Drabble Night
I realized I hadn't posted my drabbles from the drabble night December 8!
Well, it's a good thing it's still December, so here they are:

Titles: Bad Food, Soft, Kiss, Sitting on top of
Author: [info]snapealina

Pairing: Remus/Severus (duh)
Rating: very low
Warnings: none
Disclaimer: I wish I could call them mine. Sadly, I can't :(

Bad Food

“Dinner's served, Severus.” Remus called from the kitchen.

Severus put down the paper and sighed. He braced himself for whatever was waiting for him in the other room.

Something unrecognisable was sprawled on a dinner plate, and Severus did his best to not look sceptical. Why Remus still insisted on cooking dinner every Tuesday was beyond Severus' comprehension. Severus was hoping that, eventually, the werewolf would get better at it.

However, five years had gone since they moved in together. Five years, over 260 Tuesdays, over 260 meals, and Remus still hadn't managed to get one meal anywhere close to edible.

“What are you serving today?” Severus asked politely.

“It's fish and chips.” Remus smiled and took his place on the other side of the table. “The fish might be a bit salt, but I hope it's not too bad.”

Severus faked a smile and took a tiny bite.

Remus wasn't lying when he warned him about the salt. Severus wondered if he had dropped the entire package into the dish, but pretended to like it anyway. He forced it down with a sip of water.

“So, what do you think?”

“Mmmm, you are getting better at this,” Severus lied.

Remus grinned. “Thank you! I know it's not perfect but I'm glad you like it.”

Severus smiled. He didn't want to break the poor man's heart, over a stupid little thing like Tuesday dinner. Remus meant too much.

Soft

“What in Merlin's beard are you watching?” Severus came into the living room and saw his partner through the last decade lying on the sofa, with a blanket, a box of tissues by his side and a dozen used tissues on the floor.

Remus sobbed. “Titanic.”

“Again?”

Remus nodded and wiped the tears from his eyes. “It's just so tragic and beautiful when Kate kisses Leo and then pushes him into the water.”

“I know, Remus. You've told me a thousand times.” Severus rolled his eyes and knew what was coming next.

“...and when she drops the medallion into the ocean,” they said in unison.

Remus looked at Severus and stretched out his arms. “Severus, I need a hug!”

Severus sighed and sat down on the sofa, pulling Remus into a warm hug. “You are too soft for your own good, Lupin. Do you know that?”

KISS

“Well, well, Lupin,” Severus sneered. “A Hogwarts prefect roaming the castle at night? Wait until the Headmaster hears about this.”

“You're out of bed too, Severus. How are you going to explain that to the Headmaster?” Remus Lupin wondered.

“Oh, I will think of something,” Severus smirked.

“So will I,” Remus replied quickly.

“What are you doing down here in the dungeons anyway? Slumming with Slytherins? Stalking someone?”

Remus' face flushed and Severus knew he must have hit the nail straight on the head.

“Who are you spying on, Lupin?”

He was just about to gloat and throw a snide remark when Lupin's lips suddenly pressed against his. Before he could get his mind around what was happening, Lupin had run away.

Sitting on top of

Remus and Severus were both breathing heavily. They were almost there now.

Remus couldn't believe that he had talked Severus Snape into going hiking with him. Severus had been moaning and complaining the whole time, but Remus knew that when they reached the top of the mountain and Severus saw the view, it would all be worth it.

Both men collapsed when they finally reached the top, and lay panting on the ground for a minute before Remus rose to a sitting position and started looking for something in his backpack.

“There you are,” he said cheerfully after a while and pulled out a chocolate bar.

“Again with the chocolate?”

“Of course! We're sitting on top of a beautiful mountain. We have to have chocolate. It's one of the laws of hiking.” Remus explained.

Severus sighed, but sat down next to Remus, broke off a piece of chocolate and enjoyed the view.

Remus was right. A moment like this required chocolate!
