I'm going to be in and out over the next few days, so here's some reminders as we head deeper into the fickle month of March!
Remus' Birthday Challenge continues! There's a long list of words associated with Remus for you to claim and use as inspiration. Our sister community, pervy_werewolf, is using the same set of words. If you'd like to make a claim over there and have your final gift to Remus cover both challenges, please feel free; just be sure to cross-post.
Because I won't be around as much, go ahead and make your claims after looking over any current, unconfirmed responses on the claim page, and get started, even without confirmation from me. I know you'll all figure it out if there's any double claims by accident. Remember, we're only requiring drabbles and sketches for the challenge, although you can alway exceed expectations. ~_^ Finally, be sure to tag your offering for the challenge with at least the "holidays: lupin's birthday" tag. You have no idea how helpful a proper tag can be sometimes.
***** I've seen the BLU banners everywhere on my flist! I think the next step is to post them to relevant communities on both IJ and LJ, so if you frequent one, please consider making a post there -- just be sure to check the community's rules or ask a mod's permission before posting. I know there's a lot of Big Bangs advertising right now, but we're just under two months now to the first-draft deadline and you can always include some text reminding people of that when you make your post. Advertising the BLU project will not only be an immense help, but also it could be the reader or lurker's way of making a small contribution to the project for which we'd all be grateful.
Banners for Chocolate and Asphodel, v. 2 will be out in a week or two, after the BLU advertising has died down. Please remember, we have these two special projects running jointly so that all creators can potentially participate in a special project, whether they prefer short-form, book quality works or long-form, web quality works. Or both! *g* karasu_hime, whose art made the cover of Volume 1, has made a special pitch for cover artists here.
***** The Thematic List search for this month is for Forced Bonding. The Thematic Lists seemed pretty popular in McKay's recent poll on community resources, and I hope that means that many of you will check this month's list out and contribue to it!
I can't think of a really good short challenge to run from March 10 - 30, so if anyone has any ideas, please reply! In the meantime, I hope the month brings you milder weather and either all the flowers or crunchy leaves that you can stand! *HUGS ALL*
