Title: Laying The Ghosts, IV
Challenges: Snape's private quarters [info]snape100, ghosts [info]lupin100
Word Count: 100
Note: this immediately follows "The Halloween Dance" and continues the de-aged Snape plot begun a couple of weeks ago.

Remus stared at the place where the ghost had stood. "Do you fear him remaining as he is, or as he was?" still echoed in his mind.

"Face facts, Lupin," he murmured at last. "You've been a coward all your life. If you cared for him, you would have spent every spare moment in the library trying to find a way to bring him back."

The clues are all here.

A thick, shabby book lay on the tea table. Remus narrowed his eyes as he read the title, once, then twice, then a third time. Could it be that simple?
