Challenge 186 - March madness - "Liberated by Lunacy"

Title: Liberated by Lunacy
Author: red_day_dawning
Pairing: snape/lupin
Prompt: # 186 - March madness
Word count: 100
Rating: G
Disclaimer: JKR owns all HP characters and settings

There was a certain reassurance that came with the thought that he’d gone mad; an undeniable comfort lay with the recognition that he need no longer search for hidden motivations and sinister designs, but could simply accept everything as the product of his madness.

So, when Lupin continued his campaign of courting him, Snape, happily unbalanced, felt free to simply respond, “A splendid idea.  And dinner afterwards, Lupin?”

Liberated by his new identity as a lunatic, Snape almost smiled when Lupin’s eyes widened and he gasped, “Really?  That’s wonderful!  But what brought on this change of heart, Severus?”

“March madness.”
