Entering stage left is everyone's favorite sky pirate -- or at least that is what Nicolai's ego told him. It was a "fact" that was anything but the truth as anyone who knew him and Victor were well aware he was not high on Victor's list favorite people. A fact the egotistical rogue commonly overlooked. How could he help his charms had won the heart of the fair Avatari? The beautiful first mate who had somehow not entered with him. How unusual. This wasn't the bar he had intended to raid. Shrugging, he figured a bar was a bar. As long as he could taste the bittersweet taste of his favorite vice, or second favorite if Ava was near, he could manage survival. Signaling the barmaid once he found his barstool of choice, Nicolai investigates his surroundings. He should be alarmed at his disposition, but a man who had been through what he had certainly could keep his head straight as he figured everything out.

Well, well, look what the sirens called in...

Sitting at the bar and sipping from a glass of what appeared to be wine, one of the 'Porn Stars' of the pirate ships watched as the captain came in. She always enjoyed the crowds and variety that were in such a place, but sometimes the familiar was not unwelcome. Smirking, she ran a finger along the rim of her glass and eyed him. "While the caps away, the mice will play..."

Hearing the tone of the beautiful seductress, the former captain found a grin on his face at her words. He seemed to be in thought for a brief moment before he corrected her, "Some play with or without the presence of the captain."

His tone insinuated her, but he was certain she wasn't the only one.

"Well, the mice can't play alone..." she replied with a smirk, the implication rather clear as to just what kind of play she was implying. Or, at least what kind of play everyone thought she was implying. Tilting her head slightly, she watched him. "Even caps find time to play around some."

"All work and no play make the captain a dull boy," he agreed. The sky pirate had his own share of playing games. Just not with the woman he was speaking to. He was one of few who had not been lured into her tempting hands. Fear was a grand motivator. And the thoughts of Avatari's earlier mentioned punishment was definitely something that could instill fear within.

One of the very few. Men and women included. But the offer was always open should he, or any of the others, choose to accept it. Kid wasn't one to hold a grudge. "And we all know how best it is to keep a sword sharp," she agreed, smiling, before gesturing to the empty seat next to her.

It was an offer he hoped to never take. While he could bank on her making it worth his time, that would mean something disagreeable happened between himself and Avatari and that would suck all the worth out of it.

Coming nearer to her, his mind came to a random realization, "You don't seem too alarmed that you're here. Can you offer me any answers to where and why I am here?"

She raised an eyebrow at him, mildly surprised by the answer, before picking up a nearby menu and handing it to him. As he glanced it over, she sipped from her glass. "The Lunatic Cafe. Inter-dimensional cafe that connects all worlds and realities and times. There are few better places to... people watch."

Taking the menu in hand, he glances it over, finding a very tempting dish in his skimming before putting it down and returning his gaze to Kid. "Watch is something I feel you did little of," he accused with a small smirk.

She smirked. "There is more then one show to witness here," she mentioned casually, and gestured again to the menu. "Your first meal is free, as a form of introduction to the cafe. The selection here is, impressive."

The hunter was one of few people he had a difficult being certain he knew what she meant. At times it was as if she created her own private jokes and you had to be intelligent enough to catch them or you missed out on the laughter. "Mmm," he hummed thoughtfully as if he wasn't sure if he should dare to touch the statement. Certainly it could be wrong of him to encourage her. Especially a woman who needed little encouragement to begin with.

"Tonight I believe my dinner is in the form of a liquid," he grinned to her.

Kid's smile grew into a matching grin, her eyes dancing with mirth as she propped an elbow on the counter, and tucked her chin on top of it as she peered at him. Mmm, someone seemed to forget how very easy it was for the skilled hunter to twist meaning. "And who will be providing the liquid? I hope you do not intend to dine alone..."

People would hear in her words what they thought they should hear often enough. It was the joy of double language, even when she did not fully realize she was using it.

The woman was truly wicked. How could such an angelic looking being think so wickedly? It was so much so, that he almost spit out his drink in surprise at the coming words. "I really should be more selective with my words around you," he confessed after managing the swallow the liquid without wasting a single drop, "I suppose I'll never learn."

"Perhaps you only need a better teacher." But his reaction was priceless, and she chuckled silently to herself as she watched him recover. "I'm sure if you have some spare time, Cal and I would be willing to assist in your education." An innocent offer. There was much that anyone could learn from the pair, and they were willing to teach.

"I would gladly take you up on the offer if I can be assured there will be no hands-on teaching," he tells her as an indirect way of accepting the "innocent" offer, "You can never have too much wealth of information." Or wealth that came in for form of shiny, golden coins for that matter.

Kid gave the smallest of shrugs, her good humor never disappearing. Rarely did it seem to. "If that is what you would prefer. I'm sure that a variety of lessons could be arranged for..." she smiled.
