As unsettled and even freaked out as Adele was by being in this place, there were no words for how relieved she was to have some of her family members there with her. They'd always been close and really, she couldn't see that changing even if the ages they were didn't quite match up with what they were in their actual times. Family was family and Delacour women were good at that.
She was, however, incredibly nervous about Dominique showing up, so she was doing what she always did when she was nervous. She was cleaning. With an entire apartment to clean, she had more than enough to keep her busy even with most of it not even actually needing to be done.
She got wrapped up in the cleaning, managing to get wrapped up enough that she jumped when there was a knock at the door. Unable to keep from smiling a little, she dropped the rag in her hand and hurried over to the door.
