Where her "family" just did not like her, Luca's seemed to be a bit more complex than that. Once her eyes had been cleared of her hardcore bias toward him, Cyn was very able to see that Luca was a very good person. Sure, she had a weak point in his life during college, but everyone did one way or another. She did not understand how someone could be disapproving of someone not only following a dream, but succeeding at it, as well. It blew her mind and not in a good way. Still, the smile on his face told her that he really did not care about how much his father did not support him. He was happy and that made her happy. "Good," she replied as Luca bent down to scratch her puppy. "And we are going to keep that as a theme tonight," she told him, walking to the couch and sitting down her her legs curled under her body.
"The steaks are defrosting right now, so we have some time," she told him. For once her mind did not fully run to the place it normally would. Mostly because she was determined to actually cook the steak. Celebration was going to be all night and maybe even include a re-watch Day of the Doctor together. Or something.
