It was no secret that Luca's father was as disapproving as they could possibly come. The only time he ever seemed approving of anything that Luca did was when it happened to be the things that he wanted. For once, though, Luca was going to do what made him happy, his father's feelings and ideals be damned. He ran a hand over her hair after the kiss, and smiled. "I don't care either. For once, this is about me." He quickly leaned down and gave Tank a nice scratch behind the ear, because he couldn't leave his favorite four legged buddy hanging.
"I did." He hadn't thought it would happen so soon. "One of the girls working for the hospital is moving to Washington, and they needed someone to replace her. I start officially in a couple of weeks."
