It had been so many years since Beth had been here, but she would never forget a single inch of the place. She loved it here, she always had, and now that she was teaching here, she really felt as though she was coming home.
While she wasn't normally an outdoors kind of person, Beth wanted to walk the grounds before the term began, remember her youth that had blossomed here within the fence. It was all familiar, but it felt new, too. Like she was seeing it with fresh eyes. Fresh eyes that had no intention of watching where they were going, and while her gaze was up in the air, she very nearly walked right into one of the students. Luckily, she managed to see something in her peripherals before they actually crashed. "Oh my gosh!" she gasped, and actually dropped her Gameboy into the grass. It was the only thing she still had from her life before the school, and even though it was practically an antique, it still worked and it was still her favorite portable system. She liked the nostalgia of it, the reminder of all the comfort it had brought her over the years.
"Oh, wow," she sighed, to the poor girl she'd almost walked into like a huge dork. "I wasn't paying attention very well, I'm afraid. Sorry about that. I just sort of got caught up in being here, looking around, seeing all the stuff I used to see when I went here." Giving the girl a smile, she added, "I used to go here, as a student. Well I guess everyone does. But yeah. Now I'm teaching here, yaaaay." This was accompanied by a bigger grin, and a celebratory half-wave of her hands, before she realized she was acting like a weirdo geek spazoid. "Um. I'm Beth! Well I guess, uh, Miss Graves to you. I am Miss Graves. Are you new here? What's your name?"
