Who: Collette and Artie When: Daytime after a night out with the Teent Where: Artie's place What: Arthur is feeling hungover. Let the headmistress sort him out.
Arthur Barclay was feeling delicate. Actually he was feeling worse than delicate, delicate was too nice a word. What he was suffering from was the most aggravating and nauseating hangover he’d had in a good long while, no longer conditioned to a night out on the town with a very exuberant personality like Tina. He’d spent half the morning over a toilet bowl and then the rest of the morning curled up in his dressing gown draining cup after cup of tea just to feel human. He couldn’t eat. The sight or smell of food disgusted him and he turned off his TV once all the cooking shows came on. The various positions he found himself in on the sofa got weirder throughout the day, lapses into sleep interrupting his focus in trying to read.
When he’d finally been conscious enough to open his laptop Collette had been in touch. Though e already felt bad about seeing Tina for the only reason he was so damn hurting now, she managed to make him feel a little worse. Thankfully she had taken back her initial refusal to look after him and had agreed to come and see him. Once she’d said yes Arthur had doubts about her seeing him like this. He wasn’t sure whether she’d make him feel better or make him feel like an idiot but he didn’t want to be alone. He also didn’t want Beth to have to put up with him. And Brynn would just be… no, Collette was who he needed and when he heard her arrive he just mumbled incoherently at her to come in if she hadn’t already done so. He couldn’t really see, as he was covered in a duvet on the sofa which sort of made him look like a mini hedgehog in bed.
