Clark pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose, making sure they were firmly in place before he continued the conversation.
"This might sound strange, but I was wondering... ah, that is, you wouldn't happen to know where we are, would you?"
He gave the man an apologetic smile. He knew how it might sound, and perhaps he could have discovered more by listening in with his superhearing but for now he simply would prefer to have a conversation as opposed to listening in on who knows how many potentially personal chats before he discovered the information that he was looking for. He did his best not to look too lost, though he might have failed miserably at that. Truth was, he wasn't sure what could have made all of the color leave the world or why he'd woken up in a diner that looked like it hadn't changed in decades.
