"Well..." Evan had prepped himself to deny it, but couldn't finish the thought. She knew better than that. He wasn't a totally vain creature, he'd never live up to the sort of self confidence and unwavering certainty of somebody like, say, Simon. Or Betsy. But he knew he was an attractive man, and he was aware that he was a beautiful wolf. Instead of completing what he was saying, Evan shrugged and turned around so that Niks could get changed.
He thought about leaving the room entirely for her, then she kept talking. He listened, not answering anything to the mutual nakedness suggestion, because he was quite sure that she knew how he felt on that matter. Not that she gave him time to answer. Niklas kept talking, he wanted to interrupt again when she said she was just passably fair. She had to know that she was more than that. Didn't she?
Again, she didn't really give him room to speak, and all speech was wiped away entirely when she mentioned their last interaction. It had gone so horribly wrong.
Evan turned his head so she would know that he was listening, but not far enough that he'd see anything.
"Only if you'll forgive me for not being more tactful." He hoped that these, his only words, were seen as sincere as he meant them, despite his mildly light tone.
