Then the truth, at least part of it, began to surface. Dorcas was a flustered mess because she'd skived off Charms class. Yet, Narcissa Black was the cause? Kira didn't want to go about pointing fingers, but making friends with a Slytherin, particularly one belonging to the Black family, hardly seemed advisable. She hadn't really experienced the girls for herself, but from all she'd heard from Lily and Sirius about them, Andromeda was the only potentially agreeable one. It didn't take a genius to realize Narcissa was only satisfied when she was flaunting her own perfection and discussing how privileged her life had been. Granted Kira's mind had been swayed to some degree by her mates, but the more she looked in to the matter, the more she realized all evidence pointed toward their assumption about the Blacks within Slytheirn: bad news all around. The fact Narcissa was friendly toward the Lestranges, especially after Kira had that falling out with Rabastan, spoke volumes in itself. Needless to say, Kira's smile faded when Dorcas mentioned Narcissa, and skipping class for the girl for that matter. "Oh? Did she skive off class for you as well?" Kira blurted out, prior to really considering how bitchy that sounded.
