Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Tiberius Ogden and Gideon Prewett
Where: Classroom 5
When: Early Evening
What: Discussing the events of the Sirius' party

This room had grown quite familiar to Tiberius in the last month. He had begun to notice the small deviations on the brick patterned wall as he sat at the usual table closest to the door. He had started to chip at the paint nervously the first time he came in the room with Amos. Now, the shape of the part of the table with the paint fully peeled started to look like a mermaid(man?) who looked like it was bleeding and being pursued by doxies. Similar to the ways people viewed clouds, it very likely only looked to Tiberius this way.

The last time he was here sorting things out with Trish, he had an idea of what he wanted to say in an order that he wanted to say it in, and yet he was at a loss for words at most points and had much trouble beginning. Now, he was even more nervous (if that was possible) and had nothing planned. He could see the two trains colliding before his very eyes. What could he say though?

He knew he definitely felt more than lust for the boy. He knew lust, and though it sometimes started with a drunken encounter like this, this felt definitively different. He could not explain it, it was simply just true because he knew it. How far this extended, he also could not say. Especially when he thought of Mia. He had worked so hard to fix things with Mia and Trish and was still working on Ed. If this turned out to be anything, all of that would crumble down and Tiberius would very unfortunately be back at square one.

But then he thought that maybe his friends' opinions shouldn't matter. He should live his life for himself. However, a Hufflepuff cannot escape his instincts much like a fish cannot escape the fact that it must commit it's entire life to breathing water. He knew he owed much of his success to his loyal friends, and it wouldn't be very loyal to up and abandon everything that they had worked so hard on. This conversation he was about to have was likely to be the most difficult in all his life. He heard the familiar sound of the doorknob and waited for Gideon to appear.

Tiberius needed to sort himself out, and feeling Gideon's hands on him answered every question imagineable. His mind had been made up. He could not let this go. He was ready for whatever lay ahead. He didn't care what happened so long as this could keep happening. He had longed all year for a connection, something to make this year the best and to answer all of the little voices constantly picking away at his drive. That was Gideon.

As wonderful and magical as this was for Tiberius, he knew it could not last. Rather than let Filch make a ruckus because the door was locked, Tiberius decided to take action. He broke the kiss, put both hands on Gideon's shoulders and said,

"Gideon. You are amazing, but I don't think Filch or Yaxley will be much interested in our activities. Do you maybe want to go get some dinner, or would that be too weird?"
