Summary: Everybody parties at the Halloween Ball!

This is your ball post, everyone! Here's how this will go.

Different locations in the Great Hall will be posted as separate comments, which will include a little description of each. These will be the Entrance Hall, the Dance Floor, and the Tables. You should reply to any/all of these comments with your character, and if other characters reply to that subthread, they are interacting with your character. Please indicate in the subject whether your character's subthread is open or whether it has participants in mind already (EG, maybe John is at the ball and taking a break from dancing at the tables, waiting to see if someone comes up to him, so the title for his comment would be "Jack/Open", but maybe Jill is meeting Adam at the ball, so she would reply to the Entrance Hall thread with "Jill/Adam" in the subject).

Please wait to reply the ball until all the comment locations are up. Backdating of threads/journals related to the ball is allowed until Tuesday, and posting placeholders is not allowed. If you have any questions, feel free to PM the mod account!

"If there's someone else walking around then it just proves you've got good taste. You look amazing." Mia gave the other girl a smile, though it took a good bit of effort to keep the expression when dates were mentioned a second later. It wasn't Mary's fault she'd brought up a sore subject, and she definitely wasn't going to let the little disappointment bring down their evening.

Nodding as Molly spoke, she smiled brightly at her friend. "I think dates are overrated. I am glad Molly here convinced me to come. I'm definitely having a great time."

As soon as Mary made her comment about dates, she realized just who she was talking to. Mary would much rather have Mia outwardly attack her for saying something than just keeping it to herself.

"Oh, Merlin's pants, I'm such a daft cow. Sorry 'bout that. I've just... I'm... Gah, I really don't think before I speak, especially when it comes to blokes." Mary could feel her face flushing a bit from a combination of embarrassment and anger at her self.

"How 'bout I get us all some drinks?" Mary offered as a way to step away for a moment.
