Summary: Everybody parties at the Halloween Ball!

This is your ball post, everyone! Here's how this will go.

Different locations in the Great Hall will be posted as separate comments, which will include a little description of each. These will be the Entrance Hall, the Dance Floor, and the Tables. You should reply to any/all of these comments with your character, and if other characters reply to that subthread, they are interacting with your character. Please indicate in the subject whether your character's subthread is open or whether it has participants in mind already (EG, maybe John is at the ball and taking a break from dancing at the tables, waiting to see if someone comes up to him, so the title for his comment would be "Jack/Open", but maybe Jill is meeting Adam at the ball, so she would reply to the Entrance Hall thread with "Jill/Adam" in the subject).

Please wait to reply the ball until all the comment locations are up. Backdating of threads/journals related to the ball is allowed until Tuesday, and posting placeholders is not allowed. If you have any questions, feel free to PM the mod account!

Teddy wasn't as good as his friends at being snarky to people, and if he was being honest he was a bit intimidated by Severus. He'd never admit that, however, and so he picked up his box and dusted it off as the apology dwindled away. It's not like the Slytherin had ever done anything to him, but one could not follow the Marauders and befriend someone they did not like.

Scowling at the comment from Severus, he placed the box at his feet so he could fill up some punch without knocking everything on the table over. "It's brilliant, so I might have. I certainly didn't nick it from yours."

Severus downed half the glass of punch in one gulp and did something a bit out of the ordinary...he laughed at Teddy's comment instead of coming back with another remark. There was definitely something potent in the punch to make Severus so laid back. "You've got that one right, Teddy. Maybe things will change this year, hm?" Severus drained the rest of the punch from his glass and chuckled as he reached to get another refill, though he had to reach for the ladle a few times before actually grabbing it and how he got any punch in the glass is anyone's guess.

Severus was definitely shnockered.

"Maybe. Anything's possible." Teddy was caught off guard by the laughter coming from the older boy. Severus seemed so laid back, it was downright unnerving. The giant box suddenly seemed like a good source of protection from this madness, but he'd taken it off for a bit of breathing room. Deciding to forgo the paranoia and enjoy what was obviously a drunk Slytherin, Teddy filled a glass as he side-eyed his companion.

"What are you supposed to be?" He didn't want to be continuously mean, so held back any comments about the resemblance to everyday wear and simply sipped his drink as he regarded Severus curiously.

Feeling accomplished that he only managed to spill a little bit of punch onto the table, Severus returned his attention to Teddy.

"I vant to suck your bloooood!" Severus said rather loudly in a horrible imitation of a "Transylvanian" accent before baring his fangs and hissing at Teddy. He knew his costume wasn't anything flashy, but the punch was dulling his usually sharp mind and the Muggle tv shows he had seen before on vampires were seeping to the forefront of his current train of thought.
