Summary: Everybody parties at the Halloween Ball!

This is your ball post, everyone! Here's how this will go.

Different locations in the Great Hall will be posted as separate comments, which will include a little description of each. These will be the Entrance Hall, the Dance Floor, and the Tables. You should reply to any/all of these comments with your character, and if other characters reply to that subthread, they are interacting with your character. Please indicate in the subject whether your character's subthread is open or whether it has participants in mind already (EG, maybe John is at the ball and taking a break from dancing at the tables, waiting to see if someone comes up to him, so the title for his comment would be "Jack/Open", but maybe Jill is meeting Adam at the ball, so she would reply to the Entrance Hall thread with "Jill/Adam" in the subject).

Please wait to reply the ball until all the comment locations are up. Backdating of threads/journals related to the ball is allowed until Tuesday, and posting placeholders is not allowed. If you have any questions, feel free to PM the mod account!

Trish/Sirius/Ed

Once Ed caught Trish's eye, he tried to calm down. Her pleads did exactly what they were aimed out to do; he stepped back a bit, realising his behavior was bang out of order. Ed was known for interfering in Trish's love life but this was something entirely new to Ed. Normally, he'd just bag them out to Trish later, and that would be the end of it. But now, he was just confused, pissed off, embarrassed, and even a little hurt. Ed didn't quite understand what was happening, he hadn't had time to think it through before he had approached them. He took another step back, raising his hands as if he was telling the two that he knew he was wrong. Though, that all went to shit when Sirius decided to put in his two cents.

As Sirius shoved him, he was a little taken back, almost on the brink of laughter. He gave Sirius a look that probably would have just escalated the situation. "Really?" He piped in with a smart arse look on his face. He took another step forward, raising an eyebrow, wondering if he was serious. "I mean, really?" he asked again, just to send the message that he honestly found the thing a little entertaining. He returned Sirius' shove with one of his own, knowing this whole thing was a little ridiculous and immature, and by the looks of it Trish thought so too. Well, maybe she was a little more concerned than he was. Ed nodded his head with intended exaggeration as Sirius spat out his comments. He rolled his eyes, yeah, like he hadn't heard that before. "Yeah, you're right, she can make her own decisions. Though, when she's had a little too much to drink, she's accident prone. And I'll be the one she'll be complaining to for the next week when she realises she snogged the pratness that is known as Sirius Black." he paused, before continuing. "And as much as you reckon that everybody adores you, I'd rather not spend my week with the talks of you. Actually, the thought is already giving me a headache." He couldn't help but smile stupidly. Soon, someone was probably going to wipe the grin off of his face, but right now, Ed was finding this amusing.

However, when Trish tried to pull him away, he followed gladly. He kept his eyes on Sirius, his face still quite smug. He looked down Trish, who was looking rather concerned, and that was enough to wipe the smug like smile off of his face. He was a little intoxicated, which was why he was probably finding this funny, and it, like Sirius and Trish, was affecting his judgment calls. Though, when he looked at Trish, he was snapped back into it, realising that this was anything but funny. Trish was pulling his arm rather desperatly, and he slowly started to surrender, knowing that if he stayed any longer he'd do something he would regret.
