Rodolphus highly disapproves of the mudbloods ([info]roddythewolf) wrote in [info]loremrpg,

Characters: Rodolphus Lestrange & Lucius Malfoy.
Setting: Hogwarts library after supper on Monday.
Content: PG?
Summary: Rodolphus needs to talk to Lucius about the Bellatrix situation.

Rodolphus headed up to the library after closing his journal. He would have suggested the common room but Bellatrix, Andromeda or Narcissa could be in the room and if they were his conversation might go wrong. He needed his friends help with the eldest Black sister since he didn’t know what to do now that he’s asked her out and replied with having to ask her mother. Where he seemed to like Narcissa maybe he could help him with Bellatrix.

He walked back to the tables and took a seat. He took out his charms book and started to looked over their homework so the Librarian wouldn’t toss him out. He looked at the text but didn’t absorb any of it. He could only think of Bellatrix and what she had said in her journal about asking her mothers permission. He was from a good standing pureblood family and so was she, it wasn’t like he was a mudblood or a half-blood. He closed the book and then ran a hand his hair to get it out of his eyes, he was almost due for a cut. He hated to wait for people, maybe he should have went to Lucius’ dorm.

That did make sense to him but again, he was just asking her to the ball, not to marry him. Then logic kicked in and he saw that it would be poor of someone to be seen with someone else when they were already betrothed. “That is a very good reason that I never did think of before. Really with her background she’s probably already betrothed.” He was hiding his disappointment down in the pit of his stomach.

He gave another grin when he thought about Bellatrix. “Bellatrix Black. She caught my eye long ago but I never had the nerve to ask.” He looked around after he said that to make sure that none of Bellatrix’s friends where around, or Narcissa’s. That little blond had spies all around the school and in different houses at that. “I’m kind of hoping that she’s not paired off already.” There was no one else around like Bella and he didn’t fancy anyone else in this castle. He hoped that his parents wouldn’t have to pair him off with someone he hated.

His answer explained quite a bit. It was also very interesting. Lucius was relieved to hear that it was Bellatrix who had caught Rodolphus' eye and not Narcissa. That could have made things potentially awkward. Lucius glanced back and forth as well, as he too was aware that the youngest Black sister had quite the extensive reach when it came to finding things out in the school.

"It may be of some interest to you, that I have learned her parents are only just beginning to search for a suitable match for their eldest daughter," Lucius said. "She told me so herself." That of course did not mean that they were still looking. They could have found someone for her by now, but Lucius did not think that to be likely. He had heard nothing of it, and surely her family would have sought out his, him being a prime candidate for any pureblood marriage, and the same could be said for Rodolphus.
