It was almost overwhelming, the laughter in Cedric bubbling up and filling his entire being as he leaned down and kissed the other man as hard as he could, not wanting to spend even a second away from the beautiful, gorgeous, perfect creature that was Zacharias Smith. “You’re back,” he began to say, voice almost hushed. He was scared to pull back and find that Zach had forgotten it all, or that he’d go to bed and the next morning Zacharias wouldn’t know who Cedric was at all. All he knew was that he loved the other man, and now Zach could say that back with all their history in his heart as well. “You’re really back,” Cedric said, leaning down on Zach for another kiss, needing that physical touch to know it was real. That Zach wasn’t going to disappear.
Cedric wasn’t exactly fond of being reminded that he had once been a child in that village, but he couldn’t deny that that knowing Zach remembered it- any of it- was better than never hearing it spoke of. He kept kissing the other’s face and lips, not caring that they were in semi-public and anyone could have come by to look.
