Cassandra, admittedly, was quite startled when the plate the cookies were on flipped over. It didn't take much to figure out where the little push had come from. She still inadvertently took half a step back, but then decided it was best just to leave them where they were for the time being. The tea, however, she placed on top of the dresser. It was one thing to have a few cookie crumbs on the carpet. It was another to be burned by hot tea.
At the same time, she had never seen Helga like this before and she was somewhat out of her depth. She didn't know what to say to make Helga feel better. She hadn't even ever had a tantrum quite like this before in her life.
"Helga," Cassandra repeated again. "I know you miss Godric very much, but I don't think he'd want you to be sad like this about his departure." She paused for a moment. "Why don't we sit down for a little while and talk?"
