Who: Cassandra and Helga
Where: Their house
When: Monday evening
What: Dealing with Godric's departure
Status/Rating: Incomplete, low
Cassandra was worried. She didn't know what she was supposed to do now that Godric was gone. It wasn't as if she minded spending time with Helga. She thought Helga was a very well-behaved child and Cassandra liked to bake with her and read her stories. The problem was that Helga clearly needed someone who was designated clearly as her guardian. Cassandra didn't think she was well-suited to that task.
It didn't help either that Cassandra was also worried about what Godric's absence would mean. She hadn't known him well, but she had also come to depend on his presence on the house. She felt protected. When she was worried about Demetrius dropping by or waking up with James Potter in her bed, she had just reminded herself that Godric was within shouting distance if she needed him. That wasn't true anymore.
Regardless of either of those issues, she knew that dealing with Helga's very visible and emotional reaction to Godric's departure was her first concern. She had grabbed a small plate of the cookies they had made earlier that day and also a cup of tea before heading up the stairs. She knocked quietly on the door to Godric's room, before coming in.
"Helga?" she asked softly.
